Our Heart
Children matter at The preschool at A Jesus Church. We believe in helping every child feel loved, valued, and respected. Our goal is to make your child’s first school experience positive and enriching — a safe place where they grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, academically, and physically each day.
Our Curriculum Focus
Social & Emotional Development
We want your child to feel confident, capable, and proud of themselves. Through play and intentional guidance, children learn independence, communication skills, emotional awareness, problem solving, perseverance, and how to be a good friend.
Academic Development
We provide intentional instruction throughout the day, weaving literacy, math, science, music, and movement into hands-on, age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences. Our curriculum aligns with Common Core standards and incorporates Orton-Gillingham–informed practices to support early literacy development.
Our goal is for children to develop a genuine love for learning, curiosity about the world around them, and confidence in their abilities, leaving preschool feeling joyful, capable, and truly “Kinder-Ready.”
Spiritual Development
We want your child to experience Jesus’ love through the way we care for them, speak to them, and teach them each day. Bible lessons are shared weekly and woven naturally into our routines when we pray and as we talk about God’s love, creation, and Jesus as our forever friend.
Physical Development
Gross Motor
Children stay active and healthy through daily outdoor play, indoor movement, and music based activities that keep them engaged and moving.
Fine Motor
Children build fine motor skills through daily hands-on activities such as gluing, coloring, painting, lacing, buttoning, and zipping, along with sensory rich experiences that support development.
