Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. - 2 Corinthians 6:2
1. GOD LOVES YOU!
The Bible says . . ."For God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but
have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved" (John
3:16-17).
2. MAN'S PROBLEM, ALL HAVE SINNED
The Bible says . . ."For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
"All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all of our
righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and
like the wind our sins sweep us away" (Isaiah 64:6).
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ" (Romans 6:23).
3. GOD'S REMEDY, THE CROSS
The Bible says . . ."He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree,
so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds
you have been healed" (1 Peter 2:24).
This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son
into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that
we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning
sacrifice for our sins" (1 John 4:9-10).
Again in Acts 4:12 in speaking of Jesus, it says, "Salvation is found
in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by
which we must be saved."
4. MAN'S RESPONSE, REPENT OF SIN AND RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST
The Bible says . . ."If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just
and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1
John 1:9).
"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may come from the Lord" (Acts 3:19).
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in
your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"
(Romans 10:9).
"Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God."
5. RECEIVE JESUS NOW!
The Bible says . . ."I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation"
(2 Corinthians 6:2).
PRAY NOW
Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for me on the
cross that I might be saved. Right now I turn away from my sins and
open my heart to you. Come into my heart Lord Jesus. I receive You as
my Savior and my Lord. Take my life now and let it be totally dedicated
to You. I will live for You from this day forward. Thank you Jesus for
saving me now. Amen.
