HAITI 2010
Solid Rock is partnering with Forward Edge and Grace International in Port-au-Prince Haiti to be the “Hands and Feet”and help with the process of rebuilding homes and lives. Solid Rock will take a team of people once a month for the next year to help offer hope to a community that is desperate.
Teams will be lodging in temporary shelters inside the walls of Grace Village girls home in Carrefour. These facilities are a tarp like structure and have wooden bunks for each team member. Team members will need to be prepared for a much more extreme environment than they are used to.
Haiti requires a passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond day one of your trip. A visa is not required for entry.
Suggested vaccinations for this trip are Tetanus, Typhoid, Hepatitis A, and medication for Malaria. Shortly after each team is established, a team meeting will be set. A local RN who has a ministry serving teams such as these, plans to join the meeting and administer the vaccines for those in need. Of course, you may contact your own physician.
All dates listed are tentative. Actual departure and arrival dates may shift by one or two days depending on flight availability at the time of booking.
